While individual therapy often revolves around talking about interpersonal topics, couples therapy offers the opportunity to work directly with each other — in dialogue, in experience, in contact. I find this direct encounter between two people within a therapeutic frame to be especially powerful and goal-oriented.

In my work I combine proven methods of cognitive behavioural therapy with techniques from schema therapy (following Jeffrey Young). The focus lies not only on current behaviour, but also on emotionally deeply anchored patterns and needs that shape the relationship.
